Spicy Hot Chocolate with Ashwagandha
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
- 500 ml plant-based milk (e.g. oat milk)
- 1 heaped teaspoon ashwagandha powder
- 2 tablespoons organic cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened peanut butter
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch each ground ginger and nutmeg
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional, if you want a spicier flavor)
- A few drops vanilla extract
Preparation
Heat the plant-based milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the ashwagandha powder, cocoa, maple syrup, peanut butter, and spices. Stir well, then cook for another 2–3 minutes. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
